Officers and men of Goa Police are working tirelessly to maintain effective control on crime and criminals on one hand and strive hard to maintain peace and harmony amidst challenging and provocative situations.
“People think we are insensitive. That’s not true. Ours is a very difficult job, but we try to serve the people in trouble.” It has been the constant endeavor of Goa Police to strengthen police- public relations.
In view of this, we have decided to make our police stations people friendly. The police officer on duty will stand up as a mark of respect and greet the visitor when he/she enters the Police stations, offer him/her a chair and a glass of water and thereafter give him/her patient hearing for redressal of their grievances and advice him/her suitably.
No Police force in the country can be effective in action against criminals without the active cooperation and support of the public and therefore public cooperation is essential for the Police to succeed in discharge of their onerous duties.
I wish the members of Goa Police all the best in their endeavors. I also wish all residents of Goa and visitors to this state a safe and secure environment.
